The Commons in Motion is a groundbreaking participatory exhibition that blends public domain artwork with real-time behavioral interaction. Visitors become both viewers and viewed as they move through a sequence of fluid, shifting gallery environments that reinterpret the idea of “public domain” as both legal territory and psychological space.
The exhibition stages a dialogue between classical public domain artworks (digitally manipulated or physically reproduced) and dynamic behavioral environments that respond to visitor movement, sound, and proximity. Surveillance aesthetics, open-source remix culture, and concepts of communal memory converge in a hybrid space where art is no longer static but activated by presence.
